I have always loved Christmas!  There, I’ve said it!  It’s the most wonderful time of the year according to Andy Williams and who can argue!

It is the time of year when strangers tend to be a little more friendly, the neighbours chat more and there is a sense of magic in the air as the big day approaches.  If you could bottle Christmas spirit and sell it you would make a fortune.

As I have gotten older, I refuse to accept that I am ‘growing up’, the meaning of Christmas has changed for me.  Rather than just being about receiving gifts and eating copious amounts of chocolate it has become more a chance to spend some time with the family and watching the excitement on the kids faces as they wake up to a room full of wrapped gifts.

Christmas for me is about the good in people shining through and, whether or not you believe, the magic of the season touching everyone and breaking out to raise a smile.

And that is what Tinsel and Train Sets is all about; the magic of the festive season and how we all have a part in making Christmas a special time of year!
